Brielle's birthday party

So we had a little birthday party for Brielle on Saturday. It was so much fun, and Brielle was a perfect performer when it came to her birthday cake. It was so fun. We have a great video, but I need to figure out how to edit it because it is really long, unless ya'll just want to come over and watch it. It is very entertaining! So here we go!

Cake I made for the rest of the gang

Here is the cake I made. It is supposed to be a jack-o-cake (just in case you can't tell). It was a lot of work, but fun to show everyone the finished product. It fed a lot of people as well.

Presents and stuff

This was a cute present from my sister and brother-in-law, Shimayne and Randall. It is a family heirloom. It is a shape toy, but not only that, you have to use the keys to get out the shapes, so she will learn tons of shapes from this one. I'm very excited about it.

This is a cute bilingual toy from our friends Eric and Johan. I love it and have played with it many times already. I think Brielle likes it too!In the background are two cute work-out care bears. They are so cute and Brielle loves dancing when they are dancing and singing. They are gifts from our good friends Shari and Bob.

This is a beautiful blanket from Mike's Aunt Kathy. She came down from Bountiful and we were so excited to have her there.

Brielle is 1

Wow. Brielle just turned 1 yesterday. I cannot believe it has been a year. It has just flown by. Here are some pictures from then until now. These pictures are when she was in the NICU.

She was just a few days old in this picture. I do not have really big hands so even though the picture is blurry, you can see how small she was. She was born at 4 lbs and 4 oz and when we got to take her home, she was 5 lbs 4 oz, just barely bigger than a 5 lb weight. She was so tiny.

She is maybe 1-2 weeks old in these picture. She was in there for almost three weeks because she was having a hard time eating on her own. I hated that tube, but I thought she looked cute in the green outfit.

You've come a long way baby!

This is Brielle at 1 month old. She weighed about 5.5 lbs at this point. The clothes are her are preemie and they are still a little big. The purple 'pants' are supposed to be shorts!

Amy Schofield took this picture about 2 weeks before Christmas (so she is almost two months) and I love it. She was almost two months. She wasn't have a good day but I love this picture.

Brielle was blessed in January so my family could be there. This is her, okay not quite 3 months, but I liked this picture anyway.

Starting about 3.5 months Brielle started smiling all of the time. She is such a happy baby. She doens't laugh as much as other kids, but she smiles constantly. This was just after a bath and her hair was spiked up as much as it could go. She is 4 months in this picture.

Months fly by

This was taken on Easter, March 23rd, so that makes her 5 months old. I think this picture is one of my favorites!

6 months - I love this picture. It was taken at Bridal Veil Falls and I love that it is in sepia.

7 months = I love red on her so this picture is sooooo beautiful!

8 months - this was taken at my brother's house in Ohio. She was smilling for every picture I took. It was so fun.

9 months - This was at the 4th of July parade in Provo. She only made it through about half of it! It was fun to have her and her cute cousin Ariah all patriotic.

Fast forwarding...

10 months - I love this picture. Mike took it in August and I thin it is just so adorable.

11 months - I think this is cute with her in the hamper and the clothes on her. I also think that face is just priceless.

1 year - This isn't the most professional picture, but I absolutely love it. I will get some cuter ones hopefully at her birthday party on Saturday! She has been such a joy in my life and yesterday I wrote a few letters to her, from when I was pregnant and then when I found out I was having twins, then losing the one baby girl, when I had her, and then one each month she has been alive. It was really neat to look back through this year and to write to my daughter the things I was feeling and thinking. I love her so much and I'm so grateful Heavenly Father considered me worthy to be a mother to this angel baby!

So I have to apologize to all who took the poll on Brielle's weight. She is officially 1 year old. I just weighed her and she weighs exactly 17 lbs. She didn't even make it to 20 lbs. Sorry all. We tried. It seems like she eats constantly and technically she has almost quadrupled her weight, which is pretty good, but she didn't even make her own poll. She is still tiny for 1 year old, but still as cute as ever!!

This is the 4th picture in the 4th folder. This is at the Provo 4th of July parade, Star Wars!

Well I tried

So Mike's Aunt Lesley is incredibly creative and talented. Whenever I need something creative done or need a creative idea I ask her. She is amazing. Well she gave me this idea for cupcakes. You make the cupcakes, frost them, then cut marshmallows into thirds and turn then upside down, frost them with a different color and then do a little marshmallow in the middle that is yellow so it looks like a flower. I bet pretty much anyone could make them look better, but I've never tried something like this, so it didn't turn out too bad for my first try.

Funny Brielle

I was just working and looked over and saw Brielle in the saucer. It was so cute.

I laughed so hard when I saw this. She was playing with the diaper bag in the front room. I was cooking dinner. I heard her crawling and start to wimper. I found her in between the table leg and chair leg stuck. I don't know how well you can see, but she got the diaper bag around her middle and was pulling it, like a horse and buggy. It got caught when she tried to go through chair legs and table. It was so funny.

I just look at Brielle and cannot believe how much I love her and how many times a day she makes me laugh.
