Help!

I need you incredible moms to help me out with a couple of things if you would. First, Brielle can now roll from her tummy to back whenever she wants, and thus I don't think she will ever crawl. What do I do?

Second I am flying with her next week. Any ideas on how to make the airplane ride nice for her and me, besides drugging her?

Birds in our Barbecue

This is one of the funniest things. We moved into our house in March 2006. The people before us left a propane barbecue. Well soon after we found little twigs hanging out. We couldn't figure out what was going on. We opened it up and found a nest with four blue eggs in it (unfortunately I didn't get a picture of that). Well the eggs hatched we had baby birds. They got their wings and flew off. I cleaned out the barbecue totally that fall and got it all clean so we could use it for a barbecue for Labor Day. Well the next spring, it was full of twigs and we had another nest, eggs and then birds. We didn't even try to clean it last fall and this spring we have this..

Tribute to my mom

This is my favorite picture of my parents. This is their engagement picture. I love it and think they both could be models, especially my mom. She is so gorgeous. Besides being gorgeous my mom is pretty much perfect. I have read a lot of tributes to moms after mother's day and was already planning on doing one to my mom since she IS the best mom ever. I have many friends who called her mom because she was a mom to them as well. Most of them got along better with my mom than their mom. When I was in YW, I was very sad by those YW who did not have good relationships with their mom. I have a fabulous relationship with my mom and always have. She was and is a supermom. She is one of those moms that had breakfast and dinner ready for us everyday. I really think that is why we as kids did so well in school because we always had a warm breakfast ready for us every morning. My mom was and will always be there for us. I remember many nights staying up late and talking with her about everything; I loved doing that and sometimes still do when we get together. I don't think much got by her. She is such a spiritual person. She has been in about every capacity you can in the church, and did an awesome job in each one. She was the primary choirster while I was in primary, the YW president when I was in YW and the relief society president just as I went into relief society. My mom loves her family and lets us know it. She and my dad used their time and money to plan fun family vacations that we as kids will remember forever. That is one thing I want to make sure we do with our family. When you grow up you don't always remember the toys and clothes you got, but you never forget a family vacation you went on. Those are the best! My mom is talented in music, playing the piano and singing and I think we learned to love music from her. My mom is one of those people who never sits still for long (I got that from her). She never sat and watched a movie, she was either labeling pictures, cleaning the kitchen floor, etc, etc. I had one of those picture perfect childhoods. My parents always told me that I never had to worry about them getting a divorce and that was very comforting to me. I want to make sure my kids know the same thing about Mike and I. There are so many things about my mom that I want to make sure I have for my kids and I want to thank her for all that she has done and will continue to do for me and my family. I love you Mom!!!

Oh my heavens!

I just can't get this right. From my last post I did not mean to make anyone feel bad for commenting, I just wanted to make sure everyone knew how we did that. Plus when I wrote that post I was not in the best mood so I think it came across stronger than intended. Please forgive me if you felt bad. That was not my intent. I love comments on my blog - it makes posting worth it! Please keep commenting and ignore my brash posts.

Also can I just say I love going to the outlets at Park City. We always spend way too much money there. Usually it is for things for us, but yesterday it was for Brielle. It was so much fun. We got a cute swimming suit and cover for Lake Powell. We got cute patriotic clothes for the 4th of July. We got some cute summer dresses and did it all for relatively cheap. It was so much fun!

Lastly - for those of you who do not know, Mike got a job! YEAH!!! We are so excited. He is going to start on Monday and work for a place called Mona Vie. It is like Tahitian Noni (power juice) in the international accounting department. He is taking a pay cut but the benefits, I hear, are awesome so hopefully that will help offset the costs. It has been so nice to have him home with Brielle and I, but we know that he has to work in order for us to not live in a cardboard box! Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate it.

Explanation of pictures of Brielle at Bridal Veil

So I have gotten a lot of comments about the pictures of Brielle near the Provo River at Bridal Veil Falls. Mike's brother Phil was holding her from behind and I just cut him out of the picture. The rock was about 3 feet from the river so there was not any danger of her falling into the river or off the rock. I would never put my baby in danger!! She loved sitting on that rock and was kicking and having a great time. I didn't even realize that it looked like she was sitting on a rock in the river until I got home and looked at the pictures. I just thought it was a great background. Anyway I felt I needed to explain for all those who thought that my baby was dangling on a rock by herself in the middle of a ranging river! :)

Brielle and Mike in Sepia at Bridal Veil Falls

Thanks to Phil who was holding her from behind (not in the water I might add)
Mike and Phil hiked up the falls, and Brielle was so happy. I love this picture!
Here is Mike on his way back down.
Her eyes are so beautiful. I just can't get enough of this little girl!

Obviously this is Bridal Veil Falls in sepia.

My blue eyed baby

My blue-eyed girl
Mike spiked her hair into a mohawk after a bath
Mike had Dori by Brielle while she was playing. When he looked over again, Brielle was like this.

I love this wide-eyed expression. She has it a lot!

Isn't this the cutest picture?
