Who else, but Brielle?
So ya'll probably think I'm crazy for blogging about this, but Brielle slept all the way through the night in her crib WITHOUT her car seat last night!! WAAHOO!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited. She loves her car seat and for the past month she has been sleeping in her car seat in her crib. Every time we put her in her crib to sleep for a nap or whatever, she would be up 20 minutes later either crying or just playing her crib; it was very frustrating. Yesterday for her nap we put her in her crib and she slept for two hours! We were very excited. So last night after I nursed her around 8:30 pm she went right to sleep in her crib and slept until 6 am, ate and then slept until 9:30 am. I am thrilled! Just wanted to let you know

So Brielle was in her swing and she talked for a while and then she went to sleep. When I looked over at her I noticed that her bow was a little low. I went over to her and this is what I found. I laughed so hard and immediatley grabbed the camera. She likes things over her eyes. When she wants to go to sleep she will pull a burp rag or blanket as close to her face as possible. I pulled this bow up and she woke up. I also liked the way her hands were crossed in her lap!
Stupid Me!
So I know those of you who have kids, stupid is a garbage word, but that is the best word to describe this situation the other day. I was going for a walk with Brielle. Mike told me to take some water, so I reluctantly took 1/2 bottle of water. I told him I was only going for about a 30-40 minute walk and so I didn't think I would need water. I usually just walk around the church and through the neighborhoods, but I read Michelle's blog and she walked to Subway and back, which gave me confidence. I thought I could do that! So I did. Well I thought I was going to die on the way there (I know, I know I'm pathetic, but since I haven't really exercised for about a year you know how it goes). When I got to Geneva I was actually feeling good so I decided to go up Geneva a little bit. Then I saw the Jordan/Provo River Parkway. I thought I remembered someone telling me that there was a bridge or something that led into somewhere near our subdivision so I thought well I will just get off there. When I was on the parkway I found out that there was no little bridge and that I had to go all the way to Utah Lake. About half way on that trail I ran out of water. So I ended up walking all the way to Utah Lake and then back down Center Street and home. It was killer. To those of you who are very in shape and run that is probably no big deal, but to me it was hard! So my 30-40 minute walk turned into a 2 hour tortuous walk!! Luckily Brielle did great and there were no problems besides the fact that I thought my feet would never forgive me! Stupid me! Does anyone know how long that little stroll I took was?

Utah Tribute
Lake Powell - if you haven't been you should go!
I feel like all I ever post about is Brielle so this is a post to how much I love Utah and how beautiful it is and how grateful I am to live in such a wonderful and breathtaking state!
I usually love the snow!
Arches is one of my favorite places in the world!

This is Mike's brother Phil. He said he wanted to be on our blog and I told him I would put him on. He is leaving for a mission to the Colorado Springs Colorado mission soon and he is going to be an awesome missionary. We are so proud of him. He is going to BYU right now and we love having him and his friends over for dinner and games! Good luck Phil!

I can't think of a title
So I was feeling bad for myself a couple of weeks ago. I was just on Michelle's blog and her son, who is 2.5 months younger than Brielle was laughing. I had had a rough day because Mike had lost his job and I got yet another medical bill. That night I thought Brielle needs to laugh. To my surprise and delight she did. I got the video camera and she giggled for about 3 minutes. I got it all on video and was so excited. When I tried to put in on my blog I somehow messed it up and deleted the video! I was extremely sad. Well tonight Brielle outdid herself. She is the most happy betweeen about 8 and 8:30 at night. Mike was just saying hello, hello to her and she was outright laughing. It was the best sound in the whole world! I hope you enjoy. You just can't help but laugh at this awesome video.

I love being a mom!!
There she is sticking her tongue out again. As you can tell that is one of her favorite things to do.
I love the second picture because I think she looks like a model.
When I went to get Brielle when she woke up after a car ride, this is what I get. Most of the time when she wakes up she starts talking to herself, not crying. In the other picture she is flashing a gang sign. I'm not sure what it means, if anyone knows let me know!
I just want to say how much I love being a mom. I was over at Adina's the other day and she asked me that, "Don't you love being a mom." I said I really do. I was born to be a mom. I remember holding a friend's baby a few years ago when he was asleep and I told her this is what I was meant to do, hold a baby and be a mom. I was holding Brielle today when she was asleep I got an overwhelming feeling of love for this little girl who I love more than I ever thought I could. No matter what life brings, I am a better person because of this beautiful baby girl. There are many days when I wonder how I got so lucky to have her in my life. I am also grateful for a sweet wonderful husband who is an awesome dad. He is the greatest! I am the luckiest person in the world.
Be careful what you wish for
So as most of you know Mike has been working a lot lately; I mean a lot! He was leaving around 7 in the morning and not getting home until around 9 at night. There was even a day when he stayed at my sisters house in Taylorsville because it was too late to come home and he needed to be at work so early the next morning anyway. He worked many Saturdays and even a couple of Sundays. It was awful and I was starting to have a rough time being a single mom. I was wishing constantly that I could spend more time with him and what do you know, Mike lost his job. Inadvertently now we get to spend tons of time together which is great, but the hard part is we are not sure how we are going to pay our bills if he doesn't find something soon (especially all of our medical bills we now have because of our beautiful little girl). He has had a few interviews so we are hopeful. We feel at peace with it, but just because you feel peaceful it doesn't mean that you will not suffer a little. Please keep us in your prayers. We could use all the help we can get!
What do you know, more pictures of Brielle!
So we went up to Mike's dad's house for conference weekend. He took some great pictures of Brielle and us so I thought I would post them. She has such a personality as you can see in these pictures. Believe me, she came with that personality from day 1. She is such a happy baby about 97% of the time. The other 3% I think she is in pain and that is why she fusses. She rarely cries unless she is really upset. We feel so blessed to have started with such a sweet baby. Maybe we will have more children! I love that baby so much!
