The many faces of Brielle

So Brielle starting crawling right? Well now we enter the 'Always has a bruise on her head phase.' She was crawling, right in front of me, and was crossing from the hallway to the kitchen. She got caught on the little lip of the laminate and went head first onto the floor. Oh you know what? What was a different bruise. This picture was when she was begging at my feet for some of 'Adult food' and she slipped and hit her head on my chair or the table leg or something. I felt so bad!! She seems happy about it though doesn't she? Just kidding, this was taken a couple of days later. You can see her two bottom teeth really well. She has two top teeth and I think she is trying to get one more on the bottom.

So Brielle is just a goofball. She is definitely Mike's daughter. It is so funny because she tries to make us laugh while at such a young age. She has been pulling these funny faces lately, and I got a couple of them on camera. I just laugh every time she pulls them, and then I try to get her to do it again and I laugh more. She is so funny and such a cutie. I wish I could record her all of the time. She makes me laugh constantly.

Conference

I LOVED CONFERENCE!!!! I know this is a little late, but at least I'm posting. I really needed conference this time. It was so good and most of the talks really hit home for me. I got to spend it with my parents in Roosevelt with my mom doing all the cooking and mostly taking care of Brielle. It was so nice and relaxing. I especially loved the Women's Relief Society broadcast. I have been having some major self esteem issues lately. For those of you who used to know me back in high school or just earlier in my life, this would be the last thing you would ever think I would struggle with. I grew up with parents who constantly told me how wonderful and loved I was and I knew who I was, a daughter of God, and I had no problems with self esteem. I think that Satan has just been working really, really hard on me lately and he was winning for a few weeks. I felt that if I looked differently, or acted differently or changed my personality a little bit, people would like me more. I am not sure where this all came from. I didn't like the way I looked, I was tired and I was struggling with being nice to my husband and I just felt sad a lot of the time. I kept praying for guidance and I realized that I just needed to lose myself in service. I missed my visiting teaching the last couple of months and whenever I do that I feel awful! I have such a strong conviction of VT and when I do not do it, I have a hard month. So what was President Uchtdorf's talk on? Service and that you will be happy when you serve (I'm not sure if that was all his talk was on, but that is what I got out of it inbetween sobs). It was so true and as soon as I got out of my self pity state, and got my visiting teaching done and started realizing how much I have and how blessed I am, I'm doing so much better. I again know and can feel how much God loves me and loves each of his children. We are so blessed to have the gospel in our lives and to be able to know why we are here and what our purpose is, To help and serve others! I'm so grateful for a wonderful family and especially a sweet and patient husband who is always so sweet to me and is great with Brielle. I'm so blessed and I can't wait to continue to serve as much as I can in whatever I am called to do. That is what will keep us happy and out of self pity. Now I know and hopefully I will not lose that perspective again soon. I love my life and am grateful for a Heavenly Father who is always there for us.

Catch up

So I used to get upset when people would post a whole bunch all at the same time. I just thought, why don't they just post as they go along. Well it happened to me. I found that if I was posting as I went along, I was not getting my work done and that was a problem, so I just stopped blogging for a while. Well I just played catch up, so if you want to just look at one a day for the next week or so, then it will be like I posted everyday, instead of all at the same time. Thanks for all your comments. I love your comments! Have a great week and hope you enjoyed the catch up. I'll try to be better at posting more often, but I make no guarantees.

Brielle looking through crib slats

So obviously when Brielle started crawling, she started pulling herself up on things, including her bed. Needless to say, I had Mike lower the crib so she couldn't try to do a kamakazi dive out of it. So for a while after we lowered it, she couldn't pull herself up and this is what I came in to every morning. It just melted me.

Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who commented on my choking post. I am happy to report that Brielle is doing awesome now. She has the chewing thing down with things such as Gerber stars, cheerios, graham crackers and baby food 3rd stage! It makes me breathe so much easier knowing she is not going to choke on everything that goes in her mouth. The problem is that anything she finds on the ground she thinks should go in her mouth. Oh well, baby steps.....
