New recipe

I found this recipe on KSL Studio 5. I have made it a few times and loved it every time. I just made it for Shell's baby's blessing and many asked for the recipe so I thought I would post it on here. It is easy and very very yummy!

Root Beer Float Cake

Ingredients for cake:
1 box yellow cake mix
2 eggs
2 cups root beer
1 3 oz box instant vanilla pudding
1 tsp root beer extract

Mix above ingredients together in bowl. Pour into two rounded greased cake pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cake cool for 10 minutes and then remove onto wire rack to cool for an additional 30 minutes.

Frosting:
1 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
1 cube melted butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp root beer extract

Topping:
5 crushed root beer flavored candies (this is not necessary but makes the cake look good).

Mix frosting together and frost cake by spreading frosting onto bottom layer of cake. Add top of cake. Top with remaining frosting. Sprinkle crushed root beer candy on top for decoration. Store covered in refrigerator if not eating right away. Enjoy!

Looking forward to trying it...I have loved every recipe of yours I've tried so far. Your chicken lasagna one is a new favorite for us and we've had some fun with it, as well! Hope all is well! So sad I couldn't stay for the shower...again, I think that was so sweet of you. I hope it went well.

do you have a picture of it? I'd like to kind of see how it's suppose to turn out. It sounds yummy. I wonder if it would work with vegan add in's. I know that whipped topping is actually non-dairy so it would just be replacing the butter and eggs. We'll have to try it.
